Recently installed a Wilwood 4 pot setup on the front of my car. Discs are solid, no grooves or holes. Mintex 1144 pads.
Improvement in braking is superb but slowing down under 20mph they squeal, real loud
Is there any action I can take to calm them down?
Steve
Copper slip the back of the pads.
^ yeah thats pretty much the normal fix
Interesting, I'll give it a go.
Ta,

Niice site for the weather radar btw Mr. Whippy
Thanks.
Yup. Copper slip on the back of the pads... Some calipers come with anti-squeel shims too.....
Mintex 1144s. I tried Copperslip and Bendix Blue to get rid of the squeal. In the end I just put them in a box for trackdays and got some generic
pads from the factor for the road. The factor ones were a "premium brand" and stop better when cold. Have yet to get them to fade but
havent track day'd them yet.

interesting.... I have the same issue with the same brakes and mintex pads..
Have the new pads sorted it then?..
There are a few possible solutions in this thread too.

If the new pads have sorted it .. which ones did you get?
Dan.
