Where's best to get the front suspension set up from?
I've got sierra hubs from a supplier at stoneleigh, I've forgot their name!
They did the front suspension for about 200 including all the bushes and ball joints, but it was just bare metal and needed finishing.
Also been looking at mnr and they do them bushed and powder coated for 140.
Anyone got any recommendations? I'm thinking of ordering them from mnr if noone can recommend anything else!

That's the one! That's who I got the sierra uprights from.
They do the full kit for 198 I think it is. But then I have to paint or powder coat them.
What actual car do you have before we recommend suspension suppliers!

Oh hang on a minute your using sierra uprights on a std book chassis type setup. You will be wanting to alter the chassis to get the best out of that
setup or stick to the cortina uprights. How far in with the chassis are you already.

What you mean to get the best? I'm not looking to race, its going to be purely road running.
The chassis is all together now, welded last pieces in last night, I haven't welded on the wishbone brackets yet though.
What kind of modifications we looking at?

If the chassis is completed as such. You will have to move the top brackets further up the chassis. If the brackets do not align at this higher point
just add some sort of shimming Etc to align them. Wishbones will need to be different lengths from the STD book chassis items as used for Cortina
uprights. Although the Westfield Sierra SDV front wishbones should be a straight fit. Mind they might be a bit pricey as separate items from
Westfield. I am pretty sure they shortened the top wishbone rather than lengthened the bottom.

I know the sierra uprights are used on the dax's as it was from one of them I got the idea from. Wonder wether dax have made the modifications in
their wishbones or in the chassis.

For pure simplicity why not get a pair of Cortina uprights. Then there will be no problems with the geometry and all very easily sorted. There is no
massive advantage to using the Sierra uprights unless you are going to do some serious modifications to them. But for road / trackday use a good old
set of Cortinas will be perfect.

I've just rang rally design about it, as it was them I got the uprights from and was there wishbone kit I prefered. They said they hadn't
heard of any problems with using the sierra hubs with their wishbone kit.
So I think I may order a set, try it with these uprights, and if they don't work get cortina. I've got them now so may as well give it a
shot!

Oh well i suppose having positive camber on the outside wheel when going round corners is all the rage these days.

I thought that the Rally Design stuff is GTS stuff designed for the Panther? If this is the case then, yes, they will work with the Sierra uprights but not with a book chassis!

I'm not doubting matt at all. So its going to be new uprights for me! I really oughta learn to research more!
