Can anyone suggest somewhere Ideally up int north where I can get some new Drive shafts from - push in type for a ford diff ( MK )
the ones I have look pretty shabby, need new boots etc and lots of pitting ... also any idea on cost ?

And are they alright ? I am not 100% sure that my drive shafts came from the donor car mentioned on log book - is there any way of checking a part code etc ? where will it be on my existing

The driveshafts that came as a donor pack from MK for my build were the same pitted and rust, however its probably only surface rust and nothing a flap disc in a anle grinder cant shift and a few coats of paint. As for the boots these are cheap enough off of ebay and simple to fit, just slide over a supplied plastic cone and secure with a couple of cable ties. Simples!!

There are a few proper dents and even hole in one of the shafts where it looks like a screwdriver has been used to gently tap it off by previous owner.

if they are silly prices I will just get these re- conditioned, I have the boot cone thing already so not to worried about that bit but the amount of rust and the hole is a bit of a worry

There are only a few variation and only 2 differences in the push fit ones.
Usually thicker or thiner shafts, Diesel and DOHC push fits being a bit thicker.
As long as you have a pair the same thickness but different lengths you should be fine. Hub nuts are handed so one lefthand thread, one right
