Just thinking about saving some more weight on the GTS once the duratec is in basically.
13" rims are widely acknowledged to be the best handling and lightest for a seven as we know, so would they fit over 265mm discs with wilwood
power light calipers.
My thinking is that they wont.

I have them on my car with willwoods on the rear, I believe they are one of the few wheels available with an et 35 to allow the handbrake mech to
clear the wheel.

The new 13" Compomotive Pro 1.2 is super light and MNR are using them a lot now. May be worth ringing and asking Chris if they fit.

I have 13" rims, with willwood powerlite, there the sierra kit as per rally design / mac#1.
Ive the sam eon the rear but had to run a thin spacer to keep the handbrake spring from rubbing ( it was only a gnat cock but im fussy)
depends entirely where. on cortina uprights the disk is inset a long way,ive seen some huge disks under small rims.
On my Mx5 uprights the disks are mounted outside the hub like fwd cars and the calipers are quite close to the rims.
If someone has one, could they take a pic of the inside of a pro race, and a comp CXR and measure the inside diameters and post them up?
My other quandry is that I would ideally like wider front than rear tyres so need wider rear than front rims.
Thinking 225 rear and 195 front. Or do you think that would be too wide at the back?
Or do I go for the R500 style 175 skinnies up front and 205 at the back?

Or do I just buy some decent rubber for my current wheels and live with the fact that they weigh a tonne each?

I run 185 front and 205 rear. I think you would find it difficult to source rear tyres larger than this for 13" wheels.

I've got the powerlite sierra solid kit on mine. Solid front 257mm discs. They fit easy under 13"Compomotive CXR rims.
If you phone Compomotive they'll send/fax you a form to add measurements to and return. Thier technical guys will then check whether they'll
fit under your chosen rims and let you know.
