Sierra drive shaft Q?
adithorp - 11/8/09 at 04:35 PM

Has anybody got a Sierra push in driveshaft handy to have a look at? Are both inner and outer CV joints spring loaded?

The reason I ask is because I've got a Freelander diff. The Freelander inner joint is floating, not spring loaded and the sierra outer joint is pushing the shaft hard, one way and causing a knock. I have a cunning plan, but need to know if both Sierra joints are sprung. The manual looks like they are.

No, had it in from the start. It's 3.21:1 and mines got a quaif ATB in it. I've got an open one if your interested (swaped for the ATB). Mounting points should be easy enough to do. You've just got to get the shafts converted. Mine came already done but, as you might tell from the thread, I'm improving the design.
