My alloys off ebay were from a Ford Mondeo. They have 205/55/15 on them, Fate O something or other.
Now before IVA I need to replace one front tyre and was thinking about what tyre size to get, reading a few old posts people seem to sometimes go for
slightly narrower front to rear so say I went for 195/55/15.
The difference in diameter is very small so see no real difference in ride height at the front, but does it really make that much difference to
steering effort?
What about self centring, does that be come easier as there is also less tyre on the road?
Any views from the group as I am only ever used to the tin top with same size all around.

Common size in 15 is 195 50 15,
Nice compromisse on wall compilance, width, looks and availability
But if you want to open the can on whether wider or narrower is better.......
205 is not a bad size for a 7, 50 profile may be better.
Tyre temp is the way to find out and there are some cheap infra red guages available.
Probably worth a set of sticky rubber.
That said i am running 185-60 14's on 6" rims CF 1's so far quite neutral.
Open a can, open a can!!!
It's just the concept of different tyres, I can not see the car being an out and out racer just yet the CVH is not earth moving but should
initially be OK for me.
If its 195/50/15 on the front and that is a good overall size then I will be happy.
My 4 wheels with tyres only cost £26 so replacing two front rather then one is not going to hurt to much!
