scoobyhunter - 24/9/09 at 01:21 PM

hiya,is it possable to use sierra 4x4 hubs on the front? i cant picture them in my head,as i remember i would need the driveshaft ends to keep the hub together is this right? its just that i can get hold of some for a good price.
regards,andy

yeah you need the driveshaft end to tension the bearing just like the rear, this is what is bolted to the upright.

AFAIK you cant use them without drveshafts. Plus i think the insides would get dirt and crud in there, which cant be good !

You'd have to gut a CV and use the splined stub to hold it all together as said above. Geometry is different, bottom balljoint is different, and you'd need to have custom bigger mushroom adaptors made for the top joint. You'd have to really want to use 4x4 ones for some unknown reason to bother to sort all those issues!

EDIT: Ah - I've assumed you were talking about the whole front upright/hub assembly.
