Can anyone tell me how to identify my Sierra M/C please? If I decide to use it then I want to know what servicing kit to buy.

Well one way might be to put a pic' up on here.
Or search the pics on the brakesint website and match it that way.

Is that the number on the casting? (if so, which one)

^^ but surely as the Sierra is a dual circuit system you would only loose one circuit.. You should still have some brakes??? (not ideal!! I replaced
my MC with a new one, as you couldn't seem to find a repair kit for my old one)..

There's usualy a number stamped on the end.
There are at least six different types of Sierra brake master cylinders. Three Girling and three Bendix. Girling do the cast iron and steel tube
cylinders and Bendix do cast aluminium. If you've got the aluminium cylinder, you're gonna really struggle to find a repair kit.

As it happens I don't need to worry what type it is now....
Managed to get the thing stripped down.....after several attempts and many choice words!...the primary piston finally came out, but there is no way
that the secondary was going anywhere (and yes, I did remember the holding pin
). Upon further investigation there is more pitting in the bore than
on our local roads!
So I guess it's time to buy a new MC. Only thing now is, which one ???
Personally, I'd try a Ford Fiesta Mk1,2 brake master cylinder. Lucas PMC101(74066357) - For vehicles without servo 17.5mm dia.

Cheers for that Phil. Would
this be any good?
Oh well.....I guess posting the link prompted someone else to buy it instead then?? Thanks whovere you are....
