Hi, I want to convert my quadrant adjusted clutch to cable adjusted. What I am looking for is the adjuster (hollow bolt) from a Ford clutch cable, anybody got one sculking in there parts bin. Cheers Ray
is it not just a normal nut with a slot cut in it, think its a M10? usually there's two so you can lock one up against the other, just cut the slot with a hack saw
Mr Whippy it's a quadrant adjusted clutch, so the cable does not have any form of adjustment, other than the quadrant, could try fixing two nuts
on that, but one nut working on it is enough,

Cheers Ray
The threaded adjuster comes with a new cable .

If it's any help Burtons list the length of Ford clutch cables in their catalogue/website . I have a very vague memory of a conversion kit being available to do away with the auto adjuster on some of the Ford models ,doubt it's still available though
Ahh! never thought of Burtons, have there catalogue in the garage will dig it out. Cheers Ray
Ordered a Cortina one from Burtons which looks like it will do the job. Now all I have got to do is fit it,
Cheers
