Hi Darren,

Are these your shocks? If they are can you hazard a guess at the spring ratings for me and possibly give me a bit of advice too.

I have 2 that have an open length between centre of bolt hoes of approx 305mm with a 205mm spring length and a spring OD of 66mm. I dont know the closed length of the damper as i cant get the springs off at the moment and have not had my weetabix today!

The other 2 i have are open length of 290mm closed length of 220 and a spring length of 180, again an od of 66mm.

the coils are noticably thicker on 2 of the 4 than the oter 2.

I am planning a build with a CBR1000 angine and its a triton chassis (book i believe)

Can you suggest the current spring specs and let me know if they will be ok for my build.

The shorter shocks have "Nitron 400216 B 2 308" stamped on them but the larger ones have nothing.

Many thanks

I have the same with my GAZ shocks,

My front ones have thick springs and are slightly shorter and the rear........

Mine also had (luckily for me) 300lbs and 150lbs stamped on them.

Long shocks to the front have 275 lb springs, short to the rear with 175 lb springs. You need to have the "book" seperate shock bracket on your axle, not the single shear top trailing arm bracket type fixing.

Give me a call if you need to know any more. 07770 405688

I take it darren means that you need to use the U type bracketry to affix it not have it bolted onto the side of something else?
