Can someone make me a clevis pin?
speedyxjs - 28/10/09 at 09:06 PM

I think that is what they are called. They are the points which my pedals pivot on.

Iv looked everywhere but cant find any that are 13mm diameter.

Mine are like the one in the pic but have a strange clip on the end rather than a split pin.

13mm..... thats very close to 1/2 inch. theres loads of those about if the tolerance allows.

look for half inch as that is going to be the the closest you will get.

Ive got a whole tower of clevis pins at work, how long?

I bought a selection lot off ebay a few months ago as I need two for my rear brake cables and it was cheaper that way than getting them from a specialist.

Pop in to your local Yacht Chandelers as they are used a lot on pulley blocks together with the split ring.

I need one with 50mm between the head and the hole and the other is 35mm.

Try your local Agricultural suppliers - lots of farm equipment uses clevis pins.

1/2 inch or M12 bolt long enough to give 50 mm shank; saw off excess, drill hole. does head need to be round? drill press and file corners off.

job done - apart from dillin the ickle hole.
