New Master Cylinder

I drove the Indy for the first time yesterday with my new fiat 19mm master cylinder fitted.

The brakes are a lot sharper with a much more progressive feel, so well worth the effort fitting it.

It was also the first time with sidescreens and what a difference they make! It was surprisingly warm and cosy in the car, though was only going about 50 ish.

Just fitted one to mine - also much happier with the feel and travel, I'm pretty sure Mrs cog could get them to lock with ease now, which I'm not convinced she could have before

At the same time I also replaced the lines, disks and calipers (gone to solids) and changed the pads to funky Mintex jobbies so a completely different setup so not sure which bit made the biggest differenece

Did you remote mount a reservoir?
I went with a Hi Jet reservoir and had to turn some thingys that join feed pipes into the master cylinder which involved some guesswork as to what sort of shape they should be to get them to seal....went with a couple of barbs and seems leak proof at the mo and were a good push fit

I bought a remote res from Rally Design for £16. It's a Saab part by the look of it.

The MC came with barbs so I just had to muck about with getting some pipe that would join the teo together as the barbs were much smaller diameter than the res outlets.
