Advice reqired re sierra rack mods to fit book std size chassis any info /pictures would be greatly welcomed cheers ben

The sierra rack is way too wide.
You need an escort mk 2 rack, which apart from being the right width should also have the joints in approx the right place to minimise bump steer.

Have a look around our website - sure some info on there somewhere!
Good luck with your build!
several companies cut sierra racks down to size, MK engineering did mine. They chopped it so the knuckles were in the best place to minimize bump steer, and then i got some extensions to make the width back up.
Sierra rack (as long as it's the steel cased one not the ally cased one) is pretty easy to narrow given access to a lathe. Strip it all down, cut the "long" side of the casing in two and then cut out the required amount. Turn up a sleeve for a nice tightish (nice engineering term there but it works if you don't have a press!) fit over the cut rack. Clean it all up and weld back making sure the mounts are correctly positioned relative to each other. Cut the "long" side of the rack itself down from the end by the same amount as the casing was shortened, get it centre-drilled, bored and retapped with an M14 thread and hey presto, short rack!!
