I'm refurbing my calipers at the moment, and was wondering what everyone had used to paint theirs? Do I need to get the expensive foliatec stuff,
or will smoothrite / japlac / engine enamel do the job? I'm looking for a black finish if that helps.
Cheers
Adrian
Hammerite
Halfords do their own caliper paint, £9.99 for a 250ml tin, a bit less with a trade card. Comes in about 5 colours.
You can also buy high temperature paint I have seen it in silver and black not gloss though . I have used hammeritte with no problems.
the only problem with hammershite is the the fluid causes the paint to bubble up
Engine enamel on mine but fluid does make it bubble. Answer to that is dont spill any!!
