Evening all,
i did a quick search but couldn't find anything, i can remember a while back there was a link on someones thread to the bearing boys website
where they did reinforced steering bearings that could be used for wear the steering column passes threw the drivers footwell panel into the engine
bay.
anyone know which bearing can be used, i got a feeling its the 1" one can't be sure?
Anyone got anymore information?
cheers
Alex
i got a new original sierra item from ford, fitted a treat, came in 3 parts if i remember, and was only a few quid.
You need an SLFL25 bearing - RS Components etc stock them as well as Bearing Boys
All the info you need here
used a lot in karting.
This is the same as the ones in the last post by Mr H. I bought one, it made a huge
differance to how smooth it turns.
as big_wasa says brilliant improvement, and the inner platic sleeve on the sierra column fits straight in.
tony
cheers guys just got meself one!
Get's my vote as well , made a huge difference. Steering is now lighter due to the self alignment of the bearing which the original Sierra bush kit didn't do. Self centering is also hugely improved for all of you guys having problems.
