MK de-dion indy ball joints
mangogrooveworkshop - 25/4/04 at 09:11 AM

question
What are the ball joints (top and bottom) on the MK Dedeion indy. The young pup was a little hard on them and has stuffed the rubbers taking them apart for painting.

I know the track rod ends a fraud Sierra and the uprights are Sierra with an
adapter.
thanks in advance

Some use the astra joint on the bottom. If you can find a picture you could compare it with that.

Rally Design do universal covers out of polyurethane. You could look at the website but as it seems to be low quality renditions of the catalogue you'ld be better getting a catalogue off them anyway. Page 43, come in a range of colours too.

Sorry only just seen this thread.

Im a bit confused as I dont get the dedion bit, the indy was never a dedion.

If it is dedon then it is the early MK.

If its an Indy then all the above is correct, it might be correct for a dedion but not sure. Best give MK a ring.

It's the front wishbones using Sierra uprights so it doesn't make any difference what rear it is. That's why I didn't bother remarking on this

joint pictured is an astra lower ball joint

Thanks Guys,
That should help a lot. Yes it is an early indy with the diddyrider back end.
The chassis was bought from mad4x4 `s mates in Montrose back in november. So the history is a bit murky.

Thanks for the Rally design tip I check the cat.
