I want to fit rear discs and need to reduce the rear braking effort ,currently on drums.I have a wilwood proportioning valve but been told it wont
work because the pressure in the system is to low.
Would a valve from a mondeo fitted to the m/c be suitable . What have others used.
Just stick with drums -- on your they are working well below their stopping capacity.
Rear drums have some advantages over discs in a road car, a much better handbrake, brakes shoes last twice as long as brake pads. and they self-servo
at low pedal pressure.
Brakes are fine as they are its the diff i want to use thats the problem.Tryed to find 25 spline drum braked shafts to fit a lobro on the diff end ,gave up searching.I have bolt on shafts and hubs just need to sort rear discs brakes to go with them.

Currently using mk2 escort dual circuit non servo m/c , cortina front calipers, the m/c bore size for the rears is 17mm.
