hi all...
what are peoples views on using rose joints on the front suspension setup, ie top wishbone to upright, steering trackrod end??
also can you get them to fit the upright or do you need a taper adaptor??
cheers

i'm using them all round on mine (well, i still have ball joints for top and bottom of the upright, but everything else is rose jointed)
better easier adjustment, better feel apparently
but
more harsh road noise transferred, and they can wear out pretty quick if not looked after.
but on balance, I'd do it. well, i am doing it lol

I appreciate that Rose-Joints offer adjustability, but that aside... which lasts longer if exposed to the rigors of everyday use?
I guess what I'm saying is, I know Bushes degrade over time... do Rose-Joints?
I've deleted my Thread on the same subject (two threads about the same thing at the same time... anyone would think this was some kind of kit-car site or something!).

they are better for 4x4 off roading but not really on road use for reasons as said above.
a high cost that you wont get back or a lot of benefit from - unless you are tracking it most of the time - and can afford to replace

my old bosses rallycross renault v6 was changed to rosejoints because the prep engineer said they would be more responsive than standard ball joints
and easyer to adjust...
but how do you fit them into a cortina upright???
my whole rear end on my car is rosejointed....and i know that the blackjack avion is a rosejointed setup....
if they are no good for a fast road car why do people sell them???
my cortina set up has rose joints on the top of the uprights.
I bought the kit of parts from MNR, they used to be on their web site, been on for three years now with no bother.
Regards Denis.
Edit to say the rose joint kit improved the self centering no end.
