Hi guys

Ive just had my 2.4 rack delivered from rally design with a pair of alloy mounts.

The mounts have to random offcuts of plastic with them, one thicker than the other. I assume the rack sits on these whilst the mount obv. goes over the top.

Do I have this correct as they are both and a few mm bigger than the mounts - I assume they need to be trimmed to fit?

The plastic bits go under the rack and between the brackets, I had to trim mine a little as they were too big.

i never got any with mine (2nd hand, and not from RD)

is it just plastic? or more like rubber? my rack does jiggle side to side ( ) a bit when i move the steering wheel

Its more like a perspex square, but the one for the small mount is thicker than the other.

i made mine to suit the oe rubbers, but im told you get a better feel without them....

wouldn't perspex just shatter when tightened up? weird. looks like rubber on the rally design site. might try some from rubber, see how that works

Ive also gota pair without.

Just using a square of stiff ruber.

I also had to make up a shim to fit inside the larger of the 2 clamps as the rack rotated inside the clamps easily , made it out of a plastic ice cream tub .

Any pics of the rack mounts guys? Id like to replace my dodgy rubber bit
