Ok guys i have pretty much decided that im going to put toyos on her but what ones
i can get
195/50/15 T1R for 130 for 4
195/50/15 R1R for £355 for 4
195/50/15 R888 for £345 for 4
the T1R's are massively cheaper than the r1r's and the r888's.
Now i know the T1R is a good tyre but what i want to know is are the R1R's really £225 better than the T1R's?
if they are then i will buy them but i have doubts that they are.

T1R ....Road Tyre for normal cars
R1-R Road/Track Tyre
R888 Track/Road Tyre
T1R are list 1a & R1-R & R888 are list 1b according to the MSA. If you are doing only road driving T1-R will be fine, R1Rs & R888 will
not last as long on the road but will give a lot more grip on road and track....I'm never too keen on lots of water and using my R888s but they
actually aren't as bad as they look. So horses for courses.
to be honest 90% of my driving will be on the road. what i dont want to do is spend the extra £200 and not get £200 more grip in road conditions.
i know on a track its worth the extra £200 as it could be the difference between winning and second place but hooning down a B road how much more of
an edge would it give. i doubt it would be £200 worth.
Seems like a good price on the t1-r's then. they're more than up to trackdays and give great grip in the damp/wet.
t1r trade we get at around £30 each 195/50/15
i had a set of t1-s on my old car in the same size. They are very good for road use. Had on problems in the rain aswell. I think they offer quite good grip so worth a go. they are a hard type compared to the other two so on the trcal you will notice them needs less than the other two.
I had T1R on my vortx and didn't rate them. The grip was poor for the first 1000 miles and didn't get a lot better. They only really warmed up on the track. I'd say they were more suited to a heavier car, where they get rave reviews.
btw 4 T1r's on cams kill are £124 delivered
i have gone for the T1R's £124 delivered. at the end of they day they should be miles better than the cheepo ying yang sunful tyres that come
with the wheels.
have spoke to the local part worn place and come to a deal. they will fit the toyos foc if i let them keep the sunful ones. doesnt seem like a bad
deal to me a most tyre places charge £10 a wheel to fit and balance. and tbh i would put the sunful ones in the bin as i have no use for them.
Sounds like a good deal then - as you say its fitting thats usually a killer when ordering tyres online.
I was going to suggest Marangoni Zeta Linea but forgot earlier!! duh!!

T1's are great value
