Used Slicks
phelpsa - 14/4/10 at 01:37 PM

I have a set of Compomotive CXs in 13x6 and 13x8 flavour. I want to fit some 2nd hand slicks on them, and have come to the conclusion that Formula Renault fronts (16/53 13) would be good on the front and Formula BMW fronts (20/54 13) on the rear.

Does anyone know of anywhere that resells these?

Adam

Google stickyslicks. Unfortunately while these are the most suitable sizes for locosts they are also fairly rare and therefore more expensive than 23/57 and 20/53

I've seen them but their website doesnt appear to have been updated in a while.

The 16/53s appear to be pretty common, there's a few sets on ebay (infact... i have a set in my garage) but the 20/54s are a bit harder to find.

I have a set of Avon slicks which I beleive originate off a single seater like formula ford etc.

I don't want them, they are just stacked outside. Your welcome to them If you come and get them. I wrote the sizes in an old thread, but on phone now so not easy to search.

Had a search and yours are 7.0/20s, they aren't really tall enough and are too wide for my fronts. They're also crossplies and i'd really be looking for radials.

Thanks for the offer anyway!

I've used 22/54 -13s on 8" rears, they work much better than the 20/54s and they're cheaper. £12 each from Sticky slicks. Sticky slicks are saying they "now" have 16/53-13s in as well at £20 each.
