quick release steering hub with lock

Just thought that I would let you know that if you are looking for a snap off quick release hub (the ones with the lock)
You can conatct the manufacturer in in Sweden directly sales@snapoff.com

I believe that they may not make the ones with the lock anymore, but have some stock leftover.

I have just received mine, and very happy so far. (Not driven with it yet though.)

And it is much cheaper than the secondhand units that go on ebay for over £170.

I've got one of those, but again, haven't driven the GTS with it yet. I did have one on my old Astra GTE though, and wouldn't have any other.

Not sure where you got your £170 eBay prices from though, I found mine for £60 delivered (new in box)!

Still, if they're still available from the manufactureer, I'd get one without hesitation (if I didn't already have one).

Seen a few sell for that recently.

I would have happily paid £60 for one

I was prepared to pay up to £100 for one originally, they used to retail for about £180 when new, but final prices before the cease of manufacture were about the £120/125 mark.

Considering how much some of the non-lockable ones are going for, there's no doubt in my mind I made the right decision.

PS - if you have no luck with the manufacturer, I know the guy who runs Scarborough Racing (Google it) used to be a supplier.

Although he's not got any new ones left, he has a 2nd hand one complete (was fitted to his daughters car) that he wanted £80 for, including delivery.
