Hi Guys,
I've recently decided to convert and head hydraulic by getting one of these:

Unfortunately the 5/16th 24UNF rod that attaches to the lever arm isn't long enough. So i am waiting to get some studding to make it longer on
Tuesday. In the meantime i am looking at fixing it at the other end.
Has anyone else done this on a type 9 with a zetec engine and might have some pictures or am i a first?
Thanks
Ed
I tried it on an MT75 and gave up, as well as back and forward the rod arcs slightly and I couldn't stop it binding.
I gave up, and mounted a push cylinder behind the lever, worked perfectly. I've since sold the car but will see if I have any pics, being an
alloy box I welded a plate on to mount the cylinder, you could bolt somehing to the iron housing.
My clutch has given me enough problems, i thought this might be the end of problems
Give me a couple of days and I'll give you some pics. I'm just doing this same conversion at the moment.
Essence is, put the rodend on the fixed end, and attach it to a long(ish) bracket that drops down from the threaded holes in the bottom of the block
on that side. The hemispherical bit goes on the clutch arm end, which needs drilling out to 8mm.
Because I've had to shorten the cllutch arm, the hole in the bellhousing which the cable would have been seated in, has been taken towards the
housing with a die grinder.
Clearer in a pic, in a couple of days.
Forgot to say, I also, like yourself, need to extend the the pull rod itself. I'll be making that today.
Cheers,
Nev.

Excellent Nev, Lets hope we can get it to work without too much fuss!
Edit: And that there is enough travel as well!
