Pedal problems
derf - 17/5/04 at 01:46 AM

Ive been working on my pedals for 3 days now, its got me frustrated beyond belief.I have gone through 3 iterations already, not happy with any of them. The book is less than helpfull on this subject also. I am using shortened 2nd gen rx7 pedals, havent really worked out the gas pedal yet, my biggest problem is finding room for the 3 master cylinders, just wondering if anyone can show me pics of their pedal boxes, maybee I can get the creative juices flowing.

Only a partial help, Derf, but Ron Pasdernick used the stock pedals with Willwood master cylinders, and made his own bias bar:

Cheapest master cylinders I've seen are here:

Pit Stop USA has pretty good prices on major brands of master cylinders.

Derf,

I spent an awful lot of time trying getting a set of top-mounted MK3 Nissan Micra pedals to fit. I was never really happy with them.

Then realised that the m/cyl got in the way of the exhaust!

So, that gave me an excuse to make a new bottom-mount set that weighed about 10% and were much smaller/neater. I kept the Micra gas pedal but the brake/clutch are new.

Anyway, my point is- don't waste too much time tryin to adapt someone else's attempt.

HTH,

James
