where do i find out the offset of different cars

as above trying to find some track day wheels and scowering the bay has led me to the door of some right numpteys. I have some wheels in mind but the only info he has to offer until tomo when he can have a look at the markings on the wheels is they came off a 2007 fiesta.
After digging about for a bit im none the wiser found some one on a fiesta st forum say they were 52mm offset, this seems huge for such a small car.
someone help me im stuck in with the kids the missus has the car with the seats in and its raining...... im losing my mind.

Type in car and you get an idea of the offset of an aftermarket wheel for that car.
