I really want to use rear IRS on my mcsorley chassis build.Does anybody have any proven dimensions or ideas that i can use to build the rear end.Ie is toe out needed,what length of arms etc.I am using sierra shafts and diff.

I would not hesitate to use these:

There are a few ways to revise them for a +442, but I think the easiest would be to keep the wishbones the same and add 4" to the width of the diff cage. There would be no change to the height of the diff cage, but you can change dimensions of the bulkhead, rear deck height, etc., to fit the +442 design.

Have you thought about using Dozracing's DeDion system?

It's lightweight and apparently works well. You would use your Sierra donor parts but you don't need to worry about wishbones etc.

I'm basing my rear IRS, 'loosely' on the dimensions in the Tiger book.
Yes IRS is a bit of a minefield but I, for one, am determined to get there, there is plenty of good info on here so if that's what you want then go for it. If you want a quick build then it might be prudent to think again.

Out of all the IRS system my locosts previous owner chose to recreate it had to be ST. This means the shock is mounted on the bottom wishbone which means it differs a lot from the book. You have to chop out bars and reposition them in different places.
