Right i now have the sierra master cylinder not the last one i had which wasnt sierra.

it has two ports one on top and one on bottom. which does the front brakes or does it not matter.

The Sierra master cylinder is a dual circuit system, the front two outputs go speratelly to the two front wheels, the rear output goes to the rear then a T piece splits it to the two rear wheels.
If you only have 2 ports it's not a Sierra one.
