Hi - after successfully sourcing bearing carriers and calipers from a standard sierra (solid disk type) to go with the lsd and drive shafts bought from madteg on here (cheers madteg).....

do I need a handbrake reset tool for sierra rear calipers (solid disc type) and if so are they clockwise / anti clockwise turners? Then if so....where can I source?

An angle grinder key will do the job.

As above. Make sure you seat the pads right, with the indentation in the hole in the pads. Otherwise they won't sit right and you'll only be using half the pad.

Great stuff. So just winding these in does the job as aposed to other calipers i have seen where you have to turn and push at the same time ?

I'm uncertain about the push part, but it will not hurt if you do. Give it a try.

Helps if you can push the piston in when winding, "G" clamp would help.

Get a G clamp to put pressure in the piston and wind them back in with a pair of grips.

NEVER USE A G CLAMP if you need to apply any appreciable force something is wrong, ie the handbrake cable isn't slack or the self-adjuster is foobarred by being previously forced back or the pison is seized.

Before attempting to wind back slacken the handbrake right off Angle grinder key works nicely but better to Get a Cube tool (cost about 6 quid) and use hand pressure

As above, i found circlip pliers works well, though i use brembo calipers which have a cutout to allow easy acess to the piston.
