if ur makin ur escy rwd ur best bet is just go buy all mk stuff frnt suspension steering etc etc

and a five link kit for the back end but youll need to fabricate whole new inner wings and your better makin new chassis legs to

then mount the engine on the chassis legs with the crank pulley just above the steering rack

worked on a mk3 rally like that with 2lt pinto on 45s went well although heavier than a mk2 but handled far better

sorry that should read all mk2 stuff

p.s. it means a lot of welding

inner wings bulkhead gearbox tunnel transmisson tunnel reshaping boot floor turrets for rear shocks the tunnels for the link bars (if going that way) and mounting points for panhard rod

Erm... do you mean turn the Escy into RWD or just what do you need to complete the RWD running gear for a Locost?

Johnston's already explained the former - for the latter you'll need either an Escort mk2 gearbox or a Sierra type 9, the relevant prop shaft and either a Seirra IRS rear end (which won't fit a 'book' chassis) or an Escort mk2 rear axle.

I've got all these bits for sale... email me!

sorry but i meant rwd for a locost. thanks for the help

in that case my opinion would be look for another donor as ur gonna need near enough everything and if its a velancia engine theres more power in a fart and if its the cvh its hard to fit (apparently)

but if u find a mk1or2 escy a cortina ,capri or a sierra as their gonna have a axle of some sort u can use

albeit its extra work gettin the sierra irs built

but i think the sierra will be cheaper easier to find and if you buy the mushrooms for the front uprights the only thing u'll need to get is an escy mk2 rack (i think) to complete the runnin gear)

p.s. the mk4 escy rack sits on the wrong side of the front uprights for most rwd applications
