Hi want to change to Cortina uprights to reduce unsprung weight and im sure i need different wishbones. I have the wide GTS ones fitted at the mo for
the current Sierra uprights.
So, my question is does anyone have a pdf for the wide cortina ones so i can knock some up?
Cheers.
I'd stick with the sierra geometry, I think you can get lighter versions if un-sprung weight is a concern. By the time you have new wisbones
you might as well by some light uprights.
Also changing will effect the geometry (you are not changing the pickup points on the chassis, not sure but this might be required) so this might be a
bad idea.. But then again it might be better, thing is you need to know!

I thought the lightweight versions of the sierra upright had been withdrawn because they kept bending? I dont think the pick up points are different as they are supplied for Locost chassis or at least they were.
If I recall correctly. The top bones are the same and it's the bottom ones that are longer.

This is my Sierra upright on Cortina bones. You can see the two vertical lines on the right and the obvious diagonal line on the left.
In which case you should be o.k, all you need is a set of standard (with mods to stop them bending!) locost bones?

you could ask Flack monkey for some dims. He is the only one I know of with panther track cortina front wishbones, and they are both differant.
I asked Darren to make me a set around six years ago and ended up teaching myself to weld while I waited.
you could ring Darren and ask for a set ?
They where a special order only so I doubt you will find the drawings.

Hmmm. I thought when i got mine they were both an option.
If Flak doesnt pick this up i'll drop him a line in the next couple of days.
Mangrove, did they ever work out an answer to that problem?
U2U me tomorrow evening and I'll nip out and measure them for you. I will be at the workshop tomorrow
