hy just a quick one, i have a carlton box mated to my red top and a sierra diff. The diff has got a flange for the prop but so does the gearbox , so no splines how would i make up a propshaft for this setup cheers

Quick answer is with a flange at both ends and a slider built into the centre (had to get one for my saab motor-omega box combo).
Take a peek at some Land Rover propshafts

thanks for the advice i have a prop from the carlton that joins on a spline in the center but in my kit car it only needs to be overall around 3 foot so each half would only end up 1.5 feet of so do you think this would be ok? cheers

Can't see why that wouldn't be OK as long as the flanges are properly welded on each end... may need a support in the middle depending how "floppy" the middle joint is, though if it's splined it's probably pretty solid
