Hi Guys,
Being all new to anything with a bike engine, just got a question...
Our race car has no diff at the mo, its direct chain driven, i'm sure it will be therefore slower.
What do seven BEC's do? Do they have diffs? and if so, what combination of parts/diff do you use?
Thanks in advance
Ed
my mk, like a large number of 7s runs sierra axel/diff and modified prop.
Must be a lot of strain on that chain!
My busa has a freelander diff with LSD.
Is it really direct chain driven to like a sprocket on part of the axle?
It certainly is direct to the axle.
There is a cush drive option that GHE did a limited run on and a diff has been tried before apparently, but it was always quicker without
apparently.
Have considered trying one in mine. Quaiffe do one, but you'd have to do some failry major work around the rear end and a new fuel tank.
I suggest you chat with Douglas at Westgarage (Minitici on here.)
I have a prop to an english axle/diff - it does the job
You are talking about a rear/mid engined car? If so, MK engineering do a diff kit for the Midi, photos HERE
