fitting new calipers

Hi all

Got some new calipers coming for my car.

When fitting brand new calipers do i just connect up and bleed brake fluid through it and fit pads?

or

is more required?

I would fit the pads first then bleed but otherwise you seem to have the right idea

What sort of calipers? Front, rear, handbrake?

front

In that case just fit, fit pads and then bleed.

thanks

was just wondering weather because its brand new, i needed to grease anything up?

Or will it have been greased up in the factory?

Hi
Depends on what type of calipers you're talking about. I think that those with just one piston have guide pins that the caliper slides on. I've found that lightly greasing the pins with some high temperature grease (which is normally supplied in a small sachet) prevents them sticking. Have a look in the Haynes manual if you have one to see what I mean.
