Looking to get a new set of wheels for my Red Phoenix and I'm unsure which colour to get. I like the idea of Gold wheels with the Red (sort of
Gold Leaf Lotus colours) but I think Black would work as well...
What does the LB collective think for a set of CXRs on a Red Phoenix ?
The type 49 race car had polished rims with black centres.
It's only the tribute road cars that has the gold wheels, which I think only started with the elise.
Black is the way to go.
Yeap, not gold at least
Under used colour scheme really. Would be interesting to get a wrap done on the Phoenix in the style of the 47A or the 49B....
Ummm
I know that the race cars all had silver/black wheels but I was convinced that some of the old "red over white with gold bumpers" Elans had
gold wheels but I can't find any pics of any with anything other than silver wheels.
ETA - Or black!!

here are a few red ones with difference coloured wheels.
I thought I had a picture of Jim G's one from when it was read with gold 14inch minilites.
My preference would be, black centres with polished alloy (unpainted) rims.
But I really liked the wheels that you had on before!

Interesting, not seen this picture of Lee's car before...
I like the chrome trim around the light covers, very 275GTB

I stripped mine back and sprayed the inners anthracite. Plan to get another set of Capri Alloys for track use which I will probably spray all
black.

Black or Gold for me... dare to be different!
Or black and gold
Why the hell not...
Lee didn't seem to keep those trims for long
These photos were ones he sent through. Here are the full set (even one or two of yours on here).

Always impressed with the number of cars you have on your site....not that many of my car though.
I've just had a long look at the ProRace 1.2s and I like them better than the CXRs (at least at the moment)
if you want more of your photos on there then e-mail them through.
Always happy to add pictures.

p.s. this goes to any phoenix owners out there
