What do you advise I buy for my escort live axle chassis for handbrake and cables?
I remember marina cables once mentioned.
Escort, metro or some othe lever?
Does anyone have spares available?
Thanks

Im currently using the ford cable, with the solid link which does work.

I have however also bought a Morris Ital cable (the non van afair) after a number of suggestions. However its clearly not a direct fit and i havent had chance to look at it really yet.

Thanks for the replies. I'll look into the diagram technique.
I had envisaged a double cable solution.

Can you explain, is the rod in the diagram the same one I would have from my Mk 1 axle? If not I could make one up?

Where could I source the Marina swivel joint?

I suppose the single cable method would allow the lever to be placed on side of the tunnel in the passenger space.
A nice chrome MG Midget lever would look good.
(Does anyone have one?)
Would a passenger side mounted lever pass SVA?

Thanks for the advice, Andrew

The axle set up on mk1 & 2s are similar as for the swivel joint the cable comes with the brake part as indicated and you make the brackets up fairly easy job.
I will try and get some pics for you i may have on a disk in the house.
