Anti Roll Bar
907 - 8/10/10 at 06:55 AM

Hi All,

I've been working on an MX5 recently and every time I crawl out from under it I glance upward at the rear ARB and think, "that looks sweet."

1/2 inch dia and 34" long. It just looks useful so I thought I'd share.

Cheers,
Paul G

I have a pair of mx5 roll bars in the garage for when I get to that stage!

Nice looking bit of stainless steel pipework there, Paul.

That rollbar looks useful for a light car.

Nice - exhaust.

I presume made by you own fair hand.

I've just picked up an old 944 and fancy building up a system. I seem to have a nice line in repairing and modifying friends systems with my TIG. Who do you use for SS tubing and what wall thickness would you recommend?

You monkeys are supposed to be looking at the ARB.

James. My advice is ring round them all, but watch for delivery charges as some companies have a standard charge. (i.e. Aalco = £17)

Fine if you buy a few sheets, 6m lengths of tube and a load of bends then no prob.
If you just need 1.5m of 3" then find a company that will stick it on "Overnight" for a fiver.

I have accounts with various companies and use whatever fits my need at the time.

On thickness then it's down to if you back purge with argon, but I do as a matter of course.

Cheers,
Paul G
