wheel and tyres

i have 14" image split rims, now i love them to bits nice and light but there 6" wide all round, im going to be running 250+ bhp soon and im been looking and want wider wheels, i can either buy some 13 x 8 mini lites and new tyres and run what caterham use, or get my wheel widened by 2" by getting new outers from image i would keep the 6" wide at the front and use a 185 55 14 or 60 profile, but what should i use at the rear to fot 8" width?

also what tyres are best for track and road use was swaying towards the a048 yoko as they seem to have a little more tread compared to some track tyres so should be better in the wet

205/60/13 will fit a 6" rim or an 8" rim accordng to the tyre calculator on polly motorsport site. am sure you will be able to run 205's on a 6" x 14" rear and a 185 on the front

048's aren't good in the wet in a light car.

Look at the RGB cars in the birkett (lots of you-tube stuff) on 048's.

021's seem decent in the wet, not quite as good in the dry but perhaps a better road compromise.

Hi Matt

I've had a look at the 21s but they seem odd sizes really if inremeber rightly I'll double check

You can run 205's on a 6" rim but the sidewalls are not parallel, 7" is recomended
