Bulkhead unions for brake lines
mcg - 22/12/10 at 09:23 AM

I'm just in the process of running my brake lines, and I am not sure what to do about the bulkhead connection points. I have flexible hoses running up from both front and back calipers with 10mm male ends on. I was assuming that I'd then need a 10mm female bulkhead union to securly attach the meeting between copper run pipe and the flexible pipes. However, I cant seem to find a female 10mm bulkhead union. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am hoping a local motorfactors might have what I need?

So then comes the question, does everyone use specific bulkhead unions or just find a way of attaching the standard male / female ends to the chassis?

Newbie question I know! Thanks in advance!

Is that a female union on the outside?

Normally the chassis end of the flexi has a long male end. This is mounted through a bracket attached to the chassis and secured with a half nut, leaving enough thread for the fixed pipe female nut to screw onto.
