Ive bought some 2nd hand wheels to be refurbed for my MK they came off an rs turbo theyre 17" TSWs with 205 tyres and are 4 x 108, will they be ok?

not ideal sorry! 17" alloys on a 7 are a little on the large side.they will fit fine and look ok but ride will be compromised a bit.

I fitted 17" wheels, worst days work Ive done. With the old 14" ones the ride was fine, with the 17's it's like riding on a (very hard), board. Sure that you didn't want to hear that, but there you go. HTH Ray

these cars look best with little diddy 13s imo. It's what they were designed for!

What profile tyres are they? What size wheel is the car designed for? 17" wheels can be totally fine but it'll need setting up for them.

Thanks everyone, I got them cheap so maybe I'll keep them for track days or flog them on!

15s tops on a '7' IMO. Not only for looks, but also handling.
I noticed a huge difference in comfort and road noise when swapping from 195 50 15s to 195 45 15s on my Tintop, so i would expect this to be even more apparent on a 7.

Try them! Some people like them, others dont, its a personal thing. Dont listen to what people on here say if you're feeling otherwise.

Your tyres are the first line in suspension so if they are low profile you lose some of the softness in the ride. If you like a filling shaker skateboard ride you will be alright but it also alters the progressive way they car breaks away when you are giving it some welly on the roundabout.
