braided brake hoses for car brake lines

and you cant see whats happening inside the braiding, leaks outside the bodywork are noticable, but in the tunnel i'd sooner have copper lines.

I have copper lines installed now in the tunnel, need to move it around a bit. but looks like it has been work hardened. Got a quote for the tunnel braided hose from EARL at about £30 so not too bad. Am going to keep all others as copper.

I've got the whole system in braided lines. Its not much more than doing it in copper, I can't see any negatives, always fitted them to my motorbikes. They're easier to work around too and move if needed.

Braided not a good idea.
Copper not a good idea either.

Use Kunifer.

I've experienced the `ptfe' inner on a braided hose dissolve (on my Fury , during the build , before it had even been used....)

I've used braided all the way from MC to calipers. Very easy to install and not as many joints to worry about. 5 years on and still no leaks.

Nowt "wrong" with using braided thoughout. I personally don't like it, and its probably a touch more elastic than Kunifer line so less firm pedal, plus its more expensive when you count the fittings in (yea the hose is cheap but the fittings soon add up).

Regarding COPPER brake line, simple, don't use it, anywhere in the braking system, ever! Use Kunifer, NEVER copper.

A friend of ours had a copper line on a 4 pot front caliper fatigue fail at 120mph when he braked (ok yes he was going a bit quickly I know) for a roundabout. This combined with hydraulic only handbrake made for a fun time!! The line was correctly made and supported, but wheel vibration fractured it.
