Hi anybody help with this i have willwood 4 pot handbrake calipers and they are pretty poor as hand brake
My car is 3 this year and will need mot anybody come up with way to improve them its that or will have to put drums back on for test then swap them
again
Cheers Ali
The handbrake function of the Wilwoods is pretty crude and very poor at best but I found that they improved a little bit after the pads were well
bedded in. Different pad material may also make a difference - I found the Smart pads dreadful (for road braking too) but the Mintex 1144 pads were a
little better for the handbrake (brilliant for the road though)

Yes they are next to useless as a handbrake.
Unless you did what I did and put a master cylinder off the back of the handbrake mechanism in the tranny tunnel then you have a perfect functioning
handbrake, don’t have the brake cables to tight if you do it or it will restrict the movement.
