i have an escort steering rack, but i am unsure which one ie mk1/ mk2, is there an(idiot proof) way of telling which one i have as i need track rod ends, also wich ends for cortina uprights, thanks in advance johnq

Mk2 Escort rack has coarse metric threads M14x2 Same as Cortina MK3 to Mk5

An Escort Mk1 rack is NBG unless you have access to a Cortina rack to create an Escort-Cortina hybrid rack.


Like wise Escort Mk3 is also NBG

And Escort MK2 track rod ends are exactly the same as Cortina Mk3 to Mk5.

Don't buy Escort MK2 RS track rod ends they won't fit.
