Lookign for some advice on whether how I've positioned my rear brake pipe is ok or not? I did this before the winter and now looking back at it I'm not sure I'm happy with it. The brake pipe sort of loops down and seems to sit closer to the floor and in the way of flying stones etc than I would like, that being said it is protected to an extent by the wish bone which sits directly infront of it and is around 10mm or so lower. It's also quite a bit higher than another small section of brake pipe near the diff and some of the fuel line but something about it is just bugging me. It was a pain to get the flexi into the right angle which is why i put them there and don't really fancy moving them. What do you reckon?

I would not be comfortable knowing that was hanging under the car I'm afraid! It may be a pain to move it, but not as much pain as when the brakes let go just when you need them.

Your flexi is going to rub on the chassis too, I would try and keep the flex as short as possible and take the copper closer.

I think the angle is deceiving with the flexi, I've just been out to check and I couldn't make it touch the chassis even if I wanted to. I think I'll re-do the brake pipe on both side and try get the u bend alot smaller or more like an L shape. I think I just did it with the pipe bender and that was smallest I could get.

Turn the bracket through 90° or bolt something to the bracket to put it horizontal and run the pipe along the chassis member

Yeah tha's kind of how I had it originally, I think the issue is getting the flexi into the caliper and then curving it out of the way, with the bracket horizontal I was struggling to have the flexis in a position where they were nice and high up and not hiting anything.

Cheers everyone, I wasn't trying to avoid doing it, just wanted to make sure I wasn't being over paranoid. I've copied this route now, seems much better although to look at you would think flexi was quite tight but it's got a fair bit of give in it.
