diff is in my build now, and Im just in the middle of shortening the shafts, so reassembly will be soon, want to replace the CV boots, old ones are
just grubby, no rips or tears, but Im a tart LOL
however I have no idea of what model to ask for
diff is 3.92 non LSD bolt up flanges
and to top it all, local place says they different for inner and outer fitment, yet mine look identical?
I used these, worked very well.SLIDE-A-BOOT MEDIUM STRETCH CV DRIVESHAFT GAITER KIT | eBay UK

? ok confused, the CV joints on my shafts bolt to the hub and diff with 6 (i think) splined bolts, but theres a CV boot from the body of that CV
joint, to the shaft, otherwise all the grease will come out, and or crud go in?
its 3.92 ratio, non LSD and a 7.5" diff, not ideal due to weight etc, but was very cheap, local and the right ratio
this is what mine look like, but mine arent cosworth ones, mine originally were odd lengths, soon to be same length, but a lot shorter than stock LOL,
think the guy I got mine from said the sierra was a late model, had twin cam engine?

maybe I shall just give mine a real good clean and a wipe over with some back to black, think it might be easier
Hi Tony, ooooppss! my mistake mate, yes of course they have boots. The fitting of them is really simple as the UJ's are easily removable, they
are just held on the shafts by circlips, so whip of the circlip slide of the UJ and renew the boots, pretty obvious but you only need to take one of
and you can renew both boots. Hope that all makes some kind of sense. Sorry about the mix up, blame it on brain faid,
Cheers Ray
LOL cheers, yeah changing them isnt an issue, they are all stripped for shortening and painting
its finding the right boots for my shafts that Im struggling with, found a few dealers on Ebay that list dimensions, so going to have a measure up and
see if any are close.
local car shops etc all want to know the make model year etc
the kid in Halfrauds was so stroppy and insistent that I gave him the reg number, he came back 5 minutes later saying that there isnt such a thing as
a Q reg LOL
Hi Tony, have you tried your local Ford dealer, our local one is quite helpful especialy when I said it was in a Kit Car, (although I do know the original Reg number from my donor car, still got one of the number plates in the garage). Cheers Ray
