grease it keeps them quieter for longer, I am thinking about tapping the wishbone and fitting a grease nipple thoughts on this one too

Don't use grease which is petroleum based as it will attack the polybush use a moly based grease

My polybushes came with instructions to use copper grease for the inserty bit.

Ive only ever seen white grease used for this. I think its silicone based. check manufacturers instructions.

White grease is usually lithium, also water resistant.

...just done something similar to this, my hi-tech method was to simply drill a small (3mm ish) hole in the top centre of the wishbone polybush tube. This allows you to get the tube of an aerosol tin of your favourite anti-squeak in there and give it a good shot, I used silicone lube.

Currently the holes are covered by small pieces of hi-tech tape, might have to look into a better method of doing this...

I gave up with silicon grease and use chain lube on mine. This gets rid of the squeaks but I am keeping an eye on them to make sure the bushes aren't deteriorating.

Does this mean that you're greasing the outside of the poly bush which is meant to remain firmly seated in the housing? Or have you gone all the way through the bush too?

......sounds like you're assuming that the polybushes meet in the middle. They don't in fact, there's usually about a 10mm void between the two bushes. This is why the hole is drilled in the centre, to ensure that the lube enters this void and reaches the inner spacer tube....

Maybe it's me, but do you have to use poly bushes? Have heard of some using Nylon 66 round bar and turning it down to make the "top hats" simelar to the poly bushes. This will obviously give a fairly 'stiff' ride as very little give in a solid nylon bush. But then it got me thinking.... that would be no different to rose joints?

Thoughts?
