Hi all
I bought a part built locost Book car
Was told that the Front hubs were of a Mk3 Cortina
So I ordered a pair of Wheel Bearing Kits
Have knocked out the old bearings today and the new ones are smaller
Both inner Bearing and outer Bearing as well as the Seal
The larger Bearing is 2.250" opposed to the new bearing of 2"

Any one any Idear what hubs they are, They have M16 Calipers fitted
Could be Cortina MK1/MK2 --- completely different suspension. You nedd MkIII to MkV
Did mk1/2 have M16 callipers

Cannot get my head round this but I think I have a Idear can some one put me right
As Said before was to change the bearing but new cortina bearings too small
User "britishtrident"
Has said that they could be Cortina Mk2 hubs
But every thing shows that they are mk type Stub axils see photos

Could they be of a capri Mk3 if so thats why the bearing are differant
Cortina Mk3/4/5 bearings are QH 115C
Where as Cortina Mk2 and Capri Mk3 Bearings are QH 114C
They have M16 Calipers and that what the capri had
If So are Capri front Stubaxles and asseblys OK to Fit it look OK

Sorry miss under stood
Just been measuring up the hub
Have tried the new Bearings Mk3/4/5 and they fit fine to the Stub Axles
Looks like when I bought all the bits second hand
I have got Stub axles from a Cortina Mk3/4/5 (new Bearings Fit)
The M16 Calipers fit on to the Stub axil OK
And as for the Hub and Disc Looks like they are from A cortina Mk2 or a Capri which have larger bearings and dont fit my Stub Axles
Looks like I'm after a Pair of Mk 3/4/5 Hubs
Thanks for your comments
