plaease could someone give me a step by step guide to sorting out the rear end of my mnr?
i have arranged to drop off the drive shafts from my honda s2000 donor and my bolt on sierra shafts to my local specialists. (driveline of morecambe)
but i need to accurately measure the lengths as im using the honda diff and sierra outers,so its not a standard width.
the rear wishbones are fully rosejointed and am usure how to set the car up proprerly to get an accurate measurement.
front lower wishbone just has a spherical bearing so is un adjustable. so should i use this as a starting point? i have no specialist tools or lasers
etc to set the car up square,so i need a basic guide cheers
The drive shafts should have movement built in to cope with the different required drive shaft length as the hub describes an arc due to up and down
suspension movement, therefore you can set up the bottom wishbone level with Rose joints in the middle of there adjustment travel.
This should be near enough for drive shaft fabrication.
Setting up suspension without the proper gear and as important without a proper levelled flat floor is not possible, you would only ever be somewhere
near.
Any other S2000 powered MNRs you (or MNR) know of - that might be a good start point if someone else has already done the work and tested the results.
thanks for the comments. the only other 2 s2000 powered mnr's use sierra diff i think
