Calliper to upright torque?
Xtreme Kermit - 4/8/11 at 08:31 PM

Hi knowledgeable collective.

I have the brakes stripped down at the moment due to go back together tomorrow with new discs and mintex pads.

I have found the torque setting of the hex end slide pins which I believe is 52 to 61 nm, but does anyone know the torque for the calliper to upright bolts?

(the brakes are standard 240mm vented 2.0 sierra)

They are 10mm high tensile bolts if that helps.

Try this.....

The compensating silde pin things are the lower torque. The carrier torque is the higher torque...not as you have it above.

It never seems tight enough to me - i always seem to give it that little bit more. The cap heads are usually 10.9 tensile strength so are pretty robust. Loctite them too.
