fury IRS rear spring rate

what spring rates are people running . Ive currently got ( according to the build manual ) 100lb 9" long. These are to be changed for 8"
long as I need to lower the rear.
The IRS is the early single wishbone and strut type. The new spyder tub gives too much wheel to arch clearance so the need to change to shorter
springs.
If they are 100lb springs that are on there ( no markings) they do seem alright although 100lb does seems a little soft?
They are usually marked on the flat that locates on the shock seats, you usually lower by twiddling down the platforms on the shocks.
If you drop an inch then you may want to increase the weighting so a bump has less movement or you risk bottoming out on bumps.
100lbs/inch sounds too soft on the rear for a Phoenix, and as the back the fury and Phoenix are very similar.....
(although the spring lengths might differ slightly).
I have 150lbs/inch which seems to work nicely (although I am no expert on set-up).
Sylva Google List is probably worth a search.

My concern with 100 is that you may bottom out and the ride height will be all over the place as you add passenger/fuel/stuff
Lets see what Adi says
