i have just purchased a sierra lsd, but i was just wondering if it was worth getting it checked out by someone, and having it overhauled.
can anyone recommend me a company/bloke who recons them????

Road and Race Transmissions are the men to talk to. They do them for a lot of the companies that sell 'refurbished' diffs and did mine. For £360 they spent 6 hours replacing all the internals (turns out mine was pretty gone...) which is a bargain!

Alternatively save yourmoney, make sure its got a drop of oil in and fit it

Steve if it's a standard Sierra LSD not a lot goes wrong, we just fit and forget.
If you do get a problem it's cheaper to buy another than spend £300 on a rebuild.
The only reason I would have one built would be to fit a 3.3 or 3.14 crown wheel and pinion.

I suppose it depends on what you do with it. I want to make sure I don't waste my entry fees having a fail on the first practice run. If I was running on the road i'd be tempted to do do the above.
